ELECTRO-TIN
WITH CLEAR PRESERVATIVE COATING ( ET )
Applicable
Industry Spec: ASTM
B545, CLASS A, SR-0, ER-0
|
- The
parts shall be capable of passing an adhesion test per
ASTM B545 Appendix X2 and the porosity test per ASTM
B246.
- The
parts shall be aged and then tested for solderability
per ASTM B678.
- Typically,
electro-tin plus clear preservative coating offered
by PEM is .0002" (.0001" for SMT parts) to
minimum of electrodeposited tin applied to all significant
surfaces. Significant surfaces exclude such features
as threads, holes, deep recesses and bases of angles.
- A
clear preservative coating is applied after electro-tin
plating.
