Job Summary:

PennEngineering designs and manufacturers PEMSERTER® brand fastener-installation presses and automated systems, using leading-edge technologies to optimize our customers' utilization of PEM® brand fasteners. The successful candidate will manage the design of machine control systems including the development of specifications, integration, testing and documentation of automated presses and tooling systems for the PEMSERTER® product line.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research leading-edge technologies and interface with suppliers, as required.
• Hands-on development of concepts and proposals based on customer requirements, company goals and market demand.
• Specify, design, program, draft, develop and test new innovative designs and engineering changes.
• Complete prototype processes including wiring assembly, testing and modifications.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales, service, purchasing and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in designing machine software and control systems.
• Experience in PLC and or PC/VB (Visual basic) software development for production machines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
