Job Summary

PennEngineering designs and manufactures PEMSERTER® brand fastener-installation presses and automated systems, using leading-edge technologies to optimize our customers’ utilization of PEM® brand fasteners. This position will design advanced systems for feeding fasteners into progressive/transfer stamping dies.  In addition, this position has complete responsibility for the entire project from customer contact and design through installation and invoicing.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Designs the tools and feed systems necessary for positioning and installing fasteners into work pieces produced in stamping dies.
• Work directly with stamping die designers to arrive at an effective solution satisfying both the die design and the Pemserter® insertion tooling design.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of quality product.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate activities, projects and objectives with other Pemserter® managers in support of fulfilling the business plan, project objectives and customer requirements.
• Assist with New Product Development, customer requirements or any special projects assigned.   

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 6 years experience as a Mechanical or Tooling Engineer with die design in an industrial manufacturing environment. Equipment, robotics, and automation is a plus.
• 3 years experience in project leadership in developing machines, tools, dies and mechanical devices.
• Proficient with Autodesk INVENTOR 11 and experience with Pro E 2001.
