PennEngineering Earns Bronze in EcoVadis Sustainability Rating

Rating places company in the top 35% of businesses assessed by EcoVadis worldwide

DANBORO, PA - October 1, 2026 - PennEngineering®, a global manufacturer of engineered fastening, installation, and wire protection solutions, today announced it has been awarded Bronze in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. The result places PennEngineering in the top 35% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, a leading global provider of business sustainability ratings used across supply chains worldwide.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies across four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, using evidence-based criteria aligned with international standards including the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization conventions, and ISO 26000.

"This Bronze medal reflects the strength of the sustainability management system we've built across our global operations - from emissions tracking to supplier engagement to labor practices," said Mary Ann Fleming, Global Sustainability Leader at PennEngineering. "It's a meaningful, independently validated benchmark, and one we intend to keep strengthening."

The rating follows several recent steps in PennEngineering's sustainability program, including an independently verified greenhouse gas inventory - conducted to ISO 14064-3 standards by Carbonology® Ltd. - covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across the company's global manufacturing sites, and a public commitment to reduce combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by 50% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline.

"Earning this rating took real cross-functional work - our environmental, labor, ethics, and procurement teams all showed up with evidence, not just policy statements," said Brian Bentrim, Global Vice President of Sustainability, PennEngineering. "That's the kind of sustainability program we wanted to build, and this result confirms we're building it the right way."

PennEngineering has also recently issued an addendum to its Supplier Code of Conduct, extending commitments on ethical recruiting and land, forest, and water rights across its global supplier base.

"Our customers increasingly use EcoVadis as a standard benchmark when qualifying suppliers," said Martin Lachner, Global Head of Purchasing, PennEngineering. "This rating gives them a clear, third-party point of reference for PennEngineering's sustainability performance - and it's one more way we make it easier to do business with us."
