RIV-FLOAT® Rivet Nuts | Sherex® by PEM® Floating Thread Fasteners - PEM Europe

RIV-FLOAT® Rivet Nuts

The RIV-FLOAT® rivet nut from Sherex® by PEM® is engineered to simplify assembly in applications where hole misalignment between mating components creates fastening difficulties. The internally floating thread design allows the threaded insert to move radially within a defined range, enabling the fastener to self-align with a misaligned mating thread without the need for rework, adjusted hole positions, or additional assembly operations.

RIV-FLOAT® rivet nuts from Sherex® by PEM® provide a practical, cost-effective solution to tolerance stack-up challenges that are common in multi-component assembly environments.

Key Features

  • Internally floating thread compensates for positional misalignment between mating holes
  • Radial float range accommodates production tolerance variation
  • Installed as a standard rivet nut — no specialist tooling required
  • Reduces assembly rework and rectification costs
  • Available in open-end and closed-end configurations
  • Steel and stainless steel material options
  • Thread sizes from M5 to M10 (metric)
