PEM® Europe, along with other PEM® locations around the globe, maintains an extensive list of regulatory certifications as well as compliance for many environmental and government requirements. One of the most important certifications we hold and were recently recertified for was IATF 16949.

Developed by the International Automotive Task Force, IATF 16949 is one of the premier Quality Management System requirements for the automotive industry. It defines the requirements for the design, development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of automotive-related products.  

The PEM® Europe facility recently completed an IATF 16949 recertification audit. The certification is challenging to achieve and maintain, but we received an excellent performance rating.

NSF-ISR, one of the world’s largest registrars, explains that meeting the standards of IATF 16949 certification means that an organization will:

• Improve product and process quality, which often reduces costs.

• Gain supplier of choice status with the world’s largest automotive manufacturers.

• Integrate seamlessly into other quality management programs based in ISO 9001.
